Scouring the interwebs for Fanime pics, looking for my husband, who cosplayed as Dean this year. So far, I haven’t found any but all I can say is… God, I am so glad he wasn’t in the dozens of group photos for this thing called SooperHooLaaack. Mixing a great show with two crappy ones is just… Dumb.

There’s been a lot of buzz about DC revealing a “major” gay superhero character and the first thing I could thing was…
Hello! Apollo and The Midnighter!
It’s supposed to be one of the mainstreamers. :P I’m kind of excited to find who it is. For some reason, I really want it to be Selena or Ollie.
From what I’ve seen, there’s two camps. The people who swear up and down it’s Batman and Robin *eye roll* and everyone else who thinks DC’s gonna pull a fast one, which is why I put major in quotations. It can’t be the mainstays -Batman, Superman, The Flash (Barry, Wally, Jay, whoever is big in the issues they’re doing) or one the other BIG names. DC’s smart, they’re not gonna want backlash. So it’s gotta be a character that’s recognizable but not a fourth string bench warmer, in case the backlash comes from the other end. Which leaves who, Cyborg, Firestorm, or maybe a new Lantern. Nightwing… I mean, NPH did his voice in Under The Red Hood. Made him into a Chatty Cathy but it was still good, it’s doable (and believable) and he’s known enough to be “major” but not a staple of DC’s line-up.
Speculation is that it’s a Superman from another Earth. But I still want it to be Ollie. :P
Ollie would be pretty damn hot… If only because I still see him as Justin Hartley in my mind. :3 But if they do another universe character, it’s gonna reek of when they did that in X-Men. In one universe, Colossus is gay and has the hots for Kurt but in another one, he’s married to Kitty? I get it, the multiverse of comics is expansive, but it seems like a cop-out.
I didn’t mind Colossus bein gay in the Ultimate universe. The whole Ultimate universe went to shit after Ultimatum anyway.
Neither did I… But it seems like a cop-out because the change only applies to one universe. You make Superman gay, you don’t want to do it in one mildly popular title, while other writers keep him straight and all that. Kinda why I tend to stick to one universe and keep with it. It just gets confusing when you try to keep track of every major difference in each one. But, that’s just me… :D
